Orris Nail Polish Rremover Pads

Hello my beauties:)!!
long time, no see!! iv been gone forever now, 6 months perhaps.. the reason being, I GOT HITCHED :D!
i had a fairytale wedding with all things beautiful and now its me back to being myself and doing my own thing!

im sure everyone has experienced chipped nails just before an event and frowned and cribbed about it! and i just find carrying a nailpolish remover solution and cotton pads around all the time to be a hassle.. ladies! time a put an end to it! i found this amazing product which iv been raving about to everyone. i stumbled upon the Orris Nail Polish Remover pads in a health and glow store, they have them stacked near the billing counter and im sucha sucker for adding on things after being billed!

i got my remover pads in vanilla scent. it comes in a cute little travel friendly pack. that's a brand new box you are seeing but unfortunately it doesn't come sealed so im not sure if i got all 30 pads as mentioned on the box.

the consistency of the pads is oily so it makes sure all the nail polish comes off completely.. i got rid of my red color nail paint without alot of effort. u could do 3-4 nails with one.

to me, the mild scent of the product doesnt do much, i'd say its definately better than the horrible stench of normal nail color removers!

the cons to this would be none but the fact that it doesnt come sealed, you dont know how many others you would have to share it with before purchasing.

FINAL JUDGEMENT-
its a win-win product for me, great for on the go, must have in your purse!

PRICE- 60INR for 30 pads

LOREAL OPEN EYES PRO IN 03 BEIGE HARMONY

hello girls:)!!!
this is my first eyeshadow quad review for my blog. im a huge fan of them, its probably my second most favourite thing in make up after blush!
now there are not a large number of Loreal things that i own, just about 3-4 for now i think. i do have a single eyeshadow from them and am pretty impressed by how its pigmentation is in comparison with high-end brands.
WHAT THE COMPANY SAYS-
Loreal Open Eyes Pro eyeshadow quad is professional eye make up revealed step by step. the new creamy formula is an extra smooth and adhering  texture with an expert selection of harmonious colors: your eyes are  sculpted and instantly wide open!

MY OPINION-
to start of with i want to apologize for the picture quality, i couldn't find my camera and these where taken on my phone.
the product comes in a medium sized, black plastic casing.  the small size enables u to slip it in ur bag and hence its very travel friendly. i have it in the shade 03 BEIGE HARMONY. i like eyeshadow quads in comparison with eyeshadow duos and trios since quads are more versatile.

the colours in this particular quad are very subtle, neutral and everyday type. they are mostly shimmery to satin finish eyeshadows but the golden shadow right on top is glittery and a bit flaky.

  •  i really like that these can be used wet as well. they give a smooth finish. they are not powdery.
  • they have a good staying power, they stay on for about 4 hours without a primer and much longer with one on.
  • i did try these in a look with the instructions given behind the palette, it looks lovely!!
  • they are easy to blend
  • this particular quad is great for neutral lovers and office goers.
  • its my go to palette for a red hot lip! u can go subtle or smokey with this if u add a touch of well blended black liner.
  • its available in 7 more shades according to their website, i hope all of them are available at the store.

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and im so happy i finally found a MAC dupe all by myself:P!!!
its a great dupe for MAC's GRAIN eyeshadow.. the MAC on is a bit more peachy but they are really really close.

the swathces!!!
(i think i swatched the last color with my lil' pinkie, thats why is not aligned with the other colors)

FINAL JUDGEMENT-
i'd say definitely invest in one of these palettes, they are great value for money. apart of me says 700INR is a bit much but i think for the quality its worth it!
u might want to pick these online for a better price:)

oh and a bit of randomness!!!!
im so happy i picked my first sling bag, i think they are such few options around where i live but im still hunting for more:) what do u guys think of this bright coral one?

and i love this temporary beetle tattoo my little cousin sister gave me..

CHAMPAGNE BLUE LOOK

Hello chicas:)!
so i finally pulled my cousin in so i could do a eye make up look on her and after much pressing she agreed:)! i like doing make on other people coz their eye shapes and sizes are different and to adapt colors and storkes to it is interesting as well as challenging!
my cousin here has smaller and more inset eyes, also her eye opens out completely which requires her to get the eye shadow a bit higher than usual! i drew the idea from arabic make up, not entirely but quite a bit and tried to incorporate it with a bit of softness. i hope it comes across in the pictures:)
id wear this for a night out or a party!

i used beauty uk palette to create this look! i hope you guys liked it:)
toodles x

Estee Lauder Automatic Eye Pencil Duo- Review

Hello Beauties:)!!!
feels like iv been gone forever! my eyes havent been doing too well, they dry up like crazy so iv not been using the laptop.. anyway:)! im back with a bang and will stick around, pinkie promise:D
today's review is for a product i recently discovered, recently is 2 months ago by the way! my friend introduced me to this. iv never used anything from Estee lauder so this brand is new for me though iv heard great stuff about their foundations. i was all drool when i reached their store:P! there is so much i want to try from them!

WHAT ESTEE LAUDER CLAIMS
versatile,double-ended eyelining tool with twist up color on one side, a smudger on the other.
creamy formula creates a soft blendable line, everytime. color tip is always perfectly shaped, never needs sharpening.

  • Dermatologist-tested
  • Ophthalmologist-tested
  • Suitable for contact lens users

 MY TAKE-
Iv never been a fan of retractable pencils due to my bad experiences with maybelline colossal kajal and chambor eyeliner pencil, but i have no regrets with this. i twisted it in and out a couple times to check and its working just fine. I have this pencil in JET BLACK. i love the packaging, its super gorgeous, so sleek and classy, its easy to apply, travel friendly and light weight. i like the fact that the smudger is soft and doesnt hurt my eyelid when i attempt to use it. i have very sensitive eyes, this doesnt make them water or irritate them. but yes my favorite part would be the refill it comes with!!!!! its so cool, u can have one pen and different colored refills, that way u have a variety of colors to chose from. i bought it mainly for the purpose of lining my eyes.

                                                                      single swatch

PROS-
  • Smooth and creamy, glides on easily.
  • u dont have to worry about sharpening it.
  • comes with a refill.
  • comes with a smudger.
  • pigmentation is good.
  • availability of nice colors.
  • stays on the upper lid for a decent amount of time
CONS-
  • it stays for barely half an hour on the lower lashline before it begins to disappear. so u need to set it with a powder eye shadow.
  • the pigmentation could be better.
  • not water resistant which is a sign of a so-so eyeliner/eyepencil.
  • staying power is not great either.
  • u may need to reapply through the day
FINAL JUDGEMENT-
i say u give this product a miss, i would not call it pricey if it stayed on but what is  an eye pencil if it doesnt manage to stay put throughout the day? but if u like a natural looking eyeliner and soft looks, u can give this a try.. as for me, il use it for my upper lid and set it with shadow so i dont have to re apply thorugh the day

PRICE-
1375 INR

SUMMERY MINT LOOK!

 hello lovelies!!!
i wanted to do a colorful summery look for the outdoors and came up with this.. its perfect for a lunch party at a farm house or beach resort. simple but not quite simple.. i kept it matte because i thought that i would more justice to the color it if it were matte!
id pair it up with a nice pinky natural shade of blush like NARS'S orgasm and for lips it would be NYX'S mega shine lipgloss in beige!

 products used-
Coastal Scents 88 original palette.

OH and by the way, in desperate need of a new mascara.. i need some suggestions girls!

MIKYAJY SABAYA LINE AND COLOR PENCIL IN SHADE 11

Today's review is of a product which im not sure if a lot of u know about. its by a brand called MIKYAJY. they have a whole array for amazing beauty products and i remember when i visted saudi arabia a couple of years back, i was so struck by these beautiful products MIKYAJY wud line their stores with. and i must mention here, the ARABS know their make up too well!! id be awestruck with how they'd carry it off! i wish i was into as much make up back then, wud'v stocked up:/! all hope is not lost, my relatives live there:D!

so yes today's product is a lipliner! now im not a lipliner person! i have like 3 of them which i like but the thing is i dont use them too often.. but yes this sabaya one( sabaya and many others are MIKYAJY's collections) is definately my favourite! i reach for it the most! my aunt had bought me this, so im not aware of its price and things..

MAC SELECT SPF 15 FOUNDATION

its every make up lovers dream to find the perfect foundation for themselves and in my hunt to fulfill this dream i happened to stop by a MAC counter and figure out what all the hype about their foundations was!! i have to mention here that the MUA's at MAC counters are the most friendliest and helpful people in the make up industry and anyone who has shopped at MAC or even been there will agree with me!! they dont mind if you go around the store and check out the stuff and wish to try it on, very patient people! now here i have to mention that i hate the SA's at the THE BODY SHOP! always grumpy!!

MAC's SELECT SPF FOUNDATION was my very first purchase from MAC and ever since iv been a regular visitor, to check out their new collections and not necessarily to buy each time .

MAC'S CLAIM-
our water-based liquid foundation. combines medium coverage with SPF 15. provides a fresh, natural matte finish.layers up, lasts long, helps protect the skin all day. non-oily, available in 18 shades. best way to baby your skin.

MY TAKE-
i want to start of my opinion on this product by staying my skin type. back when i bought it, i was more oily to combination type. i have large pores on the apples of my cheeks and acne marks. i break out very easily. i wanted something that gives me a natural looking finish and hides my imperfections and doesnt break me out.. upon stating the above, the lovely MUA at MAC(sayanika- MAC counter, kormangala, bangalore) suggested this for me.

PROS-
  • as stated by MAC, it gives a fresh looking, matte finish when topped with some sort of finishing powder, i use MAC's Mineralized skin finish in Natual Light.
  • it contains SPF which i figure alot of people look for in their foundation. i, however wear a sunblock underneath my foundation irrespective of SPF.
  • its water-based which is good for oily beauties.
  • its nice and light and doesnt look cakey.
  • doesnt emphasis or clog my pores.
  • buildable.(sheer to medium)
  • stays on for 6-7 hours on a nornal day(26 to 30 degrees) before u need a touch up.
  • doesnt not melt alot on hot sunny days, i suggest you use blotting sheets on it in summers if u stay out in the sun.
  • available in 18 shades which keeps out options for all the ladies out there:).
  • evens out skin very nicely
  • dint break me out.
  • very blendable.

CONS-
  • not great for hot and humid climates.
  • i have to use a concealer for my acne marks, this foundation does not hide them.
  • as much as i like products with SPF, i dislike the fact that light bounces of your face when you do flash photography and washes you off.
  • its pricey.. but its MAC:/??
  • NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH DRY SKIN!!
  • you need to buy a separate pump with this, though i use a que tip to take out product!
THE FINAL DECISION-
I say this is a very nice foundation for those who dont have alot for problem areas and are looking for a daily wear, light weight foundation. the USP of this foundation is that it gives u a nice matte, natural finish!

PRICE- 1600INR for 30ml( the prices for cosmetics have increased since the budget change:(
              or $27

have you found your perfect match for foundation?? or are u still on the look out?

WET N WILD MEGAGLO ILLUMINATING POWDER in STARLIGHT BRONZE

One thing that i have learnt to apply lately is bronzer.. though iv always liked the chiselled appearance it gives u, i cud never figure out how to apply it.. but im better now:)! i have like big cheeks and since i tie a hijab(headscarf) it tends to make my cheeks look all the more prutruding! do v have a solution?? yes v do:)!

today, im going to be reviewing wet n wild's bronzer. Iv had this for a while now in my collection.. my brother had got it from london and back then i thought u only applied blush on the cheeks and so when he asked me what i wanted, i asked him to get me some nice blush with a bunch of other goodies and im guessing he thought this was the perfect four in one blush and picked it up without much pondering:D!!

Product description-
wet n wild illuminating powder creates a healthy luminous glow with a subtle iridescence on any complexion.it features four coordinating colors that can be used individually as an eyeshadow or together as blush and highlighter. its a finely milled formula that applies and delivers a smooth finish. available in four sets.

packaging-comes in a round, see through metallic plastic container. its sturdy and light weight.

MY TAKE
PROS-
  • i think its a great bronzer. it gives you the perfect amount of shimmer without making you look like a shiny disco ball.
  • the first color from the left can be used as a highlighter for ur cheek bones to give the appearance of a sun kissed look.
  • pigmentation is good.
  • the colors can be used separartely or together so as to provide a wide array and caters to the needs of different skintones, which in my opinion is great.
  • there is so much product in the pot that i dont think i will ever be able to hit pan! in short, a light goes a long way.
  • easily blendable.
  • u can bronze and contour with it since it has darker colors as well.
  • can double up as an eyeshadow palette so thats a great way to travel light.
  • inexpensive.

CONS-
  • its non availability in India, but you can order it online which is not very bad right?
FINAL JUDGEMENT-
all in all its a great product. if u are a bronzer lover u must try this one and even if u are a beginner it gives u alot to try various things with, all in one pot!

can be purchased from http://www.nonpareilboutique.com/ in India.

 SO, WHICH YOUR FAVOURITE BRONZER???

My Summer Favorites!

hello my lovelies:),
as i sit down to write this blog and sip my cool lemonade(slurrrp), the power decides to go lol!!!! summer is the time of the year for power cuts and water issues.. but for people who love life, there are many more reasons to rejoice:)! its the perfect time for the year for bright colors, and big lovely hats and flip flops and for me, to change my make up routine!!

summer is all about keeping it simple silly:), u dont want ur make up to melt off of ur face by piling it on( i pile on in winter sometimes:P)

my must haves for this Season!!
1.SUNCROS AQUA GEL SUNSCREEN,( it doesnt wash completely even if u take a dip in the pool)
2.MAYBELLINE BB CREAM in 03natural and ELF TINTED MOISTURIZER in nude
3.ELF MINERAL FOUNDATION in light
4.WET N WILD MEGA GLO ILLUMINATING BRONZING POWDER in starlight bronze
5.LOREAL PARIS COLOR APPEAL SINGLE EYESHADOW  in 152 platinum beige, BEAUTY UK EYESHADOW PALETTES in number 2 and 6, MAYBELLINE EYE STUDIO QUAD in 01 copper brown, ELF MINERAL EYESHADOW in elegant.
6.MAYBELLINE HYPER CURL VOLUM' EXPRESS MASCARA in very black
7.INGLOT BLUSH 34, LAKME CHEEK ARTIST in peach blush, ELF STUDIO CONTOURING BLUSH AND BRONZING POWDER
8.LAKME LIP LOVE LIP LOVE CONDITIONER in siren, ELF LIPSTAIN in first date,NYX ROUND LIPSTICK in pumpkin pie lss 630, BOURJOIS SWEET KISS in 45 orange apprete, MAYBELLINE WATERSHINE PURE LIPSTICK in C22.
( feel free to ask for a review of any of the above products)

-------a few pointers------
1. SUNSCREEN- i cant stress enough on this one, though ur foundation may contain spf, its always a good idea to put on some sun block underneath it cuz u dont want the UV rays to touch ur skin in places where ur foundation maybe a bit sheer or sometimes missing!

2.FOUNDATION- its an absolutely smart move to skip foundation this season, u can replace it with BB creams, tinted moisturisers or mineral powder foundations. they will even out ur skin tone and sit there throughout the day, using a primer is a good idea too!

3.BRONZER- this one thing for me defines make up in summer! i cant live without it! there's nothing more beautiful than healthy bronzed sun kissed skin!

4.EYESHADOWS- anything powdery is good so that the excess oils are absorbed, light shimmery colours are really flattering and for the experimental few, u can go all out and color the world:). the blacks, browns and more earth toned colors can take a back seat.

5.MASCARA AND EYELINERS-waterproof mascara is a must this season for fun flirty looks, black eyeliners can be replaced with colorful ones for a pop of color!

6.BLUSH- corals without a doubt! nice peachy pinks, oranges and peach by itself!

7.LIPSTICK AND LIPGLOSS- go shimmery rather than matte, full luscious lips are year round!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS:)!!!!

Bliss Covered India- March Edition!

Ok, so Im probably the last person to put up this review, but what the hell:P?!
iv been away for the longest time people, not my fault enitrely! lots of things came up and blah blah! but any how, im back now, and im back for good:)..

iv always been extremely tempted upon seeing these super nice luxury brand samples sent in super pretty boxes
to people all over the world.. there are tons of the out there, glossybox in UK, birchbox in the USA and the likes.. when i stumbled upon a review of a certain "Blisscovered Box", i was THRILLED!!!! i literally jumped up and down and i remember placing the order without giving much thought..(glad i did it)

so what is Blisscovered??
its a website which puts together 4-5 luxury brand samples in a lovely box and sends them over to ur doorstep and the best part is u wont exaxtly know when it is going to get delivered to u! now it may sound stupid but they actually leave u a mail about a week before they send it and its like a suprise present because u r unaware of the exact time when its coming! also they add a great personal touch to it by actually asking your preferences for products and how your skin type is and all these little details to make the box suit you. this happens when u sign up for it on their website http://blisscovered.com/.

These are the products from their March Box!

the pretty lavender box:)

its contents all wrapped up in lovely violet crape paper
1.Lancome Genifique Youth Activator
2. Forest Essentials Neem & Saffron facewash(loving it)
3.H20 Spa Sea Salt Hydarting Body Butter
4.Chambor Eye & Lip make up remover
               5. Calvein Klein Shock Perfume sample

Price-Rs.700 for one box.

My take on it-
the stuff is nice, though id like some more make up! also i was looking out for mostly international brands because chambor is easily in my reach. but that could be because they are only starting out!
overall, its been a nice experience with them, the service has been prompt and things came neatly packed.

Will i purchase it again? yes, but id alternate it every month!
